Message from our President

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Nova Scotia Catholic Women’s League’s website. 

Nova Scotia has over 5,000 members across the province who give of their time, talent and treasure in service to the people of God.  We come together in good times and in bad to encourage, to console and to celebrate one another as Sisters in the League.  We have been a Provincial council since 1948; however, the Catholic Women’s League has been active in Nova Scotia since 1919.

Parish Councils across our province support many aspects of Church life both in community and beyond.  Through resolutions and social justice, League members' contributions are supported through actions plans and follow-up.

Our League theme, "Women of Peace and Hope" encourages members to begin active dialogue in support of palliative care and welcoming the 'stranger'.  May League members strive to support our theme.
